Same AI, same question... but HOW you ask it can completely change the answer you get. Let's fix some prompts.
Below are 3 rounds. Each one starts with a prompt that's a little too vague. Rewrite it yourself first — then compare with Byte's version to pick up a trick you can reuse.
A prompt is just the request or instructions you give an AI. The exact same chatbot can give you a boring, generic answer or a genuinely useful one — depending entirely on how you ask. Here are the three techniques you just practiced:
Narrow down exactly what you want, instead of asking something broad.
Say who it's for, why you need it, or any details that shape the answer.
Say how you want the answer — how long, how simple, what style.
You don't have to nail all three every time — and you don't have to get it perfect on the first try, either. If an answer isn't quite right, just rewrite your prompt or ask a follow-up. That back-and-forth is completely normal, even for grown-ups who use AI every day.
