The Prompt Pro Challenge

This is the final! Today you'll use every tool you've learned, finish your Prompt Playbook and earn your Prompt Pro certificate.

About 45 minutes. You can stop and come back. Your answers are saved in this browser.

Part 1 · Warm-up

Remember the whole track?

Four quick questions, one from each of the last few lessons.

Part 2 · Learn it

Your Prompt Pro toolbox

You've learned five big tools. A real Prompt Pro knows which tool fits which job, and often mixes them together.

1

The Recipe

Goal, Specific, Context, Format, Limits. For almost any question.

2

Examples

"Here's one. Make more like it." When you want a pattern copied.

3

Follow-ups

Shorter, simpler, keep A and change B. When the first draft isn't right.

4

Roles

Quiz master, hint-only tutor. When you want to practice or learn.

5

Chains

Small steps, checked as you go. When the job is big.

Using AI honestly at school

You learned about this in the Safety Center, and now you have the skills to do it well. Here's a simple way to think about it:

βœ… HELPS YOU LEARNUsually fine

Brainstorming ideas. Explaining something you don't understand. Quizzing you before a test. Giving hints. Giving feedback on work you wrote.

❌ DOES THE WORK FOR YOUNot okay

Writing your homework, essay or project for you. Giving you answers to copy. Pretending AI work is your own.

Byte says

Every school has its own rules about AI, so always follow your teacher's rules. If you're not sure, ask! And if you used AI to help, it's honest to say so.

Part 3 · Spot it

Which Tool in the Toolbox?

For each situation, pick the tool that would help the most.

Toolbox master! 🧰

Part 4 · Build it

Fix-It Finals

Three weak prompts need rescuing! Rewrite each one using any tools from your toolbox. Mix them together if you like. Then compare with Byte's rescue.

Rescue 1: The homework helper

Weak prompt"Do my project about rainforests."
Your rescue
Byte's rescue"I'm making a project about rainforests. I'm 11. Don't write it for me. Give me 5 ideas for what my project could cover, then ask me which one I want to explore."

Tools used: Recipe (Goal, Context, Limits) plus "ask me" from Talk Back. And it keeps the work honest: the AI helps you plan, but you do the project.

Rescue 2: The party planner

Weak prompt"Plan a party."
Your rescue
Byte's rescue"Help me plan a party for my sister's 9th birthday. Let's do it in steps. First, suggest a theme. Give me 3 options, and I'll choose one."

Tools used: A recipe (Goal, Specific) plus a chain ("let's do it in steps") plus options from Talk Back.

Rescue 3: The test reviser

Weak prompt"Tell me about the water cycle."
Your rescue
Byte's rescue"You are a friendly quiz master. I have a test on the water cycle next week. Ask me 5 questions, one at a time, and wait for my answer. If I get one wrong, give me a hint first."

Tools used: A role and rules from Lesson 4, plus a Goal and Context from the recipe. Now the AI helps you practice instead of just telling you things.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Day Out Planner

🎲 Board Game Inventor
